Skinny Cinnamon Raisin French Toast

My daily routine is pretty much gluten free and dairy free. This recipe is both and low calorie. Of course I make exceptions for the occasional cheesecake or cookie.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • French Vanilla dairy free creamer
  • liquid egg whites
  • vanilla
  • cinnamon
  • gluten free cinnamon raisin bread ( I used Udi’s Gluten Free Bread)
  • almond milk

You will pour 1/2 cup of egg whites into a bowl with 2 tbsp dairy free creamer and 1 tsp almond milk. Add 1 tsp vanilla and 2 tbsp cinnamon. Whisk together.  I use the creamer as a sweetener so there is no need for additional sugar. The raisins also provide sweetness. You can use regular or low calorie cinnamon raisin bread if you do not want to use gluten free. The same goes for the non dairy creamer. You can substitute regular french vanilla creamer (dairy) if you would like. This recipe will yield approximately 6-8 pieces of french toast.

Dip the pieces of bread into the mixture and let them soak for 10 seconds.

Then place into a frying pan on high.

Flip each piece and serve.

I chose to serve it with a dollop of light whipped cream and fresh blueberries.
