Similar to my post last night, this is a chocolate protein version of the mug cake. It’s a snow day and I just finished doing an hour of zumba. What else is there to do but BAKE!? This is basically a no-guilt cake. Does it taste as delicious as a cake filled with butter and sugar??… no, but there is a nice feeling knowing you are putting something healthy in your body that will satisfy the “baked goods” craving. I would say, give it a shot.
You will need:
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- Chocolate almond butter (I used Barney Butter Chocolate Coconut Almond Butter)
- 1/2 tbsp baking powder
- Gluten free pretzels
- 2 tbsp almond milk
- 1 egg white
Mix the protein powder with the baking powder first. Then add the 2 tbsp almond milk and the egg white. Add crushed pretzels.
Mix well and place in the microwave for 1 minute. If the cake gets high, stop the microwave for a second and start it again.
