Hazelnut Chocolate Ice Cream

We have had a brutal winter this year. I spent the cold months making soups and hearty meals to keep myself warm. I cannot wait for the hot summer sun to bless us with its appearance. In my attempt to prepare for the warm months ahead, I made ice cream! I tried out a new spread from Barefoot & Chocolate and incorporated it into my frozen treat. It is all natural and so good that I almost finished the jar.

You will need:

  • 6 large almond milk ice cubes
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp hazelnut chocolate spread ( I used Barefoot & Chocolate Hazelnut Chocolate Spread)
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • chocolate chips
  • peanuts

Make almond milk ice cubes the night before. Pour almond milk into ice trays and freeze them.

Take 6 almond milk ice cubes, 1 frozen banana and 2 tbsp hazelnut chocolate spread and mix in your blender or nutri bullet. If it is very icy, add small amounts of almond milk. Make sure you save 2 tbsp of hazelnut chocolate spread left for the recipe. You can easily eat the entire jar with a spoon.

If it is a little on the liquid side, place it in the freezer for a few minutes and it will firm up. Top with chocolate chips and peanuts (or your favorite ice cream topping).
